How We Compared All Mattress Brands
As with all mattress reviews and comparisons on Mattress-Reviews.com, GoodMorning.com Inc. tests major online mattress brands to continually update and improve its own products. #1 Douglas: Best Canadian RV Mattress 2024
Overview
- Price (RV Short Queen): $799 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 365-nights
- Warranty: 20-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 4.8/5 (Excellent)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 4.85/5 (A+)
Key Features
Top-rated motion isolation
3-layer design
One fine-tuned firmness approved for all sleep styles
Moisture-wicking machine-washable top cover
ecoLight® cooling gel foam
10-inch height
Why It’s Best
A combination of quality construction and materials, performance, affordable prices, wide selection of RV mattress sizes, lengthey sleep trial and warranty propel Douglas to earn the top spot on our list.
The Douglas mattress line boasts a medium-firm feel that provides an optimal balance of comfort and support. This makes it a versatile choice for sleepers looking for an RV mattress that offers just enough “hug” while giving plenty of support to maintain spinal alignment and provides superior pressure-point relief for all sleep styles.
Additionally, Douglas mattresses are specifically designed to help sleepers regulate their body temperature and stay cool throughout the night — a must-have for hot summer nights.
Douglas’s ecoLight® cooling gel foam not only dissipates heat and promotes airflow, but also has up to 40% less carbon input than traditional high-density memory foam. The machine-washable Douglas CoolSense® Cover, made with sustainable Infinitex™, draws away moisture, leading to a cool and dry night. Campers looking for additional cooling features, like Polar® Temperature Balancing phase-change materials or CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, can upgrade from the Douglas Original to the Douglas Alpine or Douglas Summit.
In third-party testing of over 115 popular mattresses, the Douglas Summit mattress earned the top spot as the best mattress for motion isolation, closely followed by the Douglas Alpine in second place, and the Douglas Original in fourth. This means that Douglas is particularly adept at absorbing movement, making it a smart choice for couples who don’t want to be disturbed by their partner’s restless sleep.
While other online mattress companies only offer limited sizes, Douglas offers RV mattresses in RV Bunk Small, RV Three-Quarter, and RV Short Queen. Priced at just $799 for a RV Short Queen, the Douglas RV mattress offers the same premium features as many of its competitors at an attractive price.
★★★★★
Great Sleep.
“I’ve been having a hard time getting a comfortable sleep at the lake on our previous short Queen for RV’s, I just rolled out of bed after 10 hours of sleeping on the Douglas Original Short Queen. Fantastic mattress!! The process of ordering to delivery was seamless. Unpacking and setting up the mattress was extremely easy. Within 5 minutes we were laying on our new mattress and we both knew we made a great decision.”

#2 Juno: Best Value Foam RV Mattress
Overview
- Price (RV Short Queen): $499 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 120-nights
- Warranty: 15-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 4.8/5 (Excellent)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 4.85/5 (A+)
Key Features
8-inch height
Cooling gel foam
Total support foam
Heat-dissipating fabric cover with Cool+ upgrade
Fine-tuned firmness good for all sleep positions
Why It’s Best
The Juno RV mattress earned the second spot on our list due to a combination of its high-quality cooling capabilities, warranty, size selection and incredibly affordable price tag.
At only $499 for a RV Short Queen ($578 with the Cool+ Cover upgrade), its value is unmatched among other popular RV mattresses on the market. Each mattress also comes with a 15-year warranty.
The mattress includes a full-body cooling gel foam layer, which helps draw heat away from the body and promote airflow. This layer is designed to provide targeted support and pressure relief while also keeping the sleeper comfortably cool.
In addition to the cooling gel foam layer, the Juno mattress is available with the highly coveted Cool+ Cover. This soft, breathable cover is infused with cooling yarn, which steals heat from the body, spreads it across the surface of the mattress, and releases it back into the air. It doesn’t get much cooler than that, literally.
Juno mattresses are designed to be medium-firm, an ideal firmness that will work for a variety of sleeping positions and body types. It also has a height of 8-inches, so it will easily fit in many tight spaces. Sleepers don’t have to compromise head space in their trailer over comfort.
Overall, the combination of comfort and affordability make the Juno RV mattress an excellent choice for anyone seeking a cooler sleep experience in their camper. There’s no doubt that the Juno deserves the second spot on our list.
★★★★★
Great product!
“This is the best mattress I have ever slept on. We bought it to replace the one in our RV and it has been amazing. I think we will also get one for bed at home. It supports me so well that I wake up with no aches and pains. I feel nothing when my husband moves around!”

#3 Silk & Snow
Overview
- Price (RV Short Queen): $750 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 365 nights
- Warranty: 15 years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 3.9/5 (Great)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 2.53/5 (A+)
Key Features
Gel memory foam
10-inch height
Antimicrobial cover
Medium-soft mattress
Why the Silk & Snow RV Mattress Didn’t Make the Top 2
The Silk & Snow RV mattress didn’t make one of the top spots on our list for a few reasons (beyond its limited firmness options). As the cost of materials has shot up over the past year, Silk & Snow has kept their mattress prices relatively stable. To do so, Silk & Snow changed its top-selling product line.
According to our test results, this latest version of the Silk & Snow Mattress has gotten even softer. This means that you are likely to sink even further down into the mattress, which may create difficulties with spinal alignment and overheating for certain individuals.
In tight quarters like an RV, having a mattress that helps you stay cool at night is ideal. Foam is sensitive to temperature and the further you sink into the mattress, the more your body is in direct contact with the foam which can cause overheating. If you’re a hot sleeper or weight over 150 lbs, you may want to consider the other options on our list.
Lastly, Silk & Snow may not be as well established as some of its closest competitors, as seen by its poor customer review rating on Better Business Bureau. This may make Silk & Snow less appealing to price-sensitive sleepers prioritizing brand reputation and customer service.
#4 Polysleep
Overview
- Price (RV Short Queen): $1,199 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 10-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 3.5/5
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 5/5 (based on only 2 reviews)
Key Features
10-inch height
Liquid-repellent cover
Ventilated hybrid foam
Support foam
Why the Polysleep RV Mattress Didn’t Make the Top 2
Polysleep is a Montreal-based bed-in-a-box company that entered the Canadian sleep space in 2016. Sticking true to their roots, Polysleep mattresses are made in Montreal.
Although the Polysleep RV mattress has the ingredients of an all-around solid mattress and desirable features like a liquid-repellent cover, there are a number of major drawbacks the held the mattress back from claiming a top spot.
First and foremost, price and size selection. Shoppers can expect to pay $1,199 CAD for an RV Short Queen, which is considerably more expensive than other RV mattress than its competitors. Looking for a Bunk Small, Three-Quarter, or Short King? You’ll have to look elsewhere because Polysleep only sells one size.
The Polysleep RV Mattress also doesn’t offer nearly as many features as Douglas (our top pick), like a machine-washable cover or cooling gel foam.
Polysleep offers a 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty, which is a pretty average offering on the market. Shoppers should note that Polysleep charges a $85 return fee. This means if you’re not in love with your Polysleep, you’re not getting a full refund if you return it.
Finally, Polysleep has significantly fewer customer-verified reviews and third-party reviews on websites like Trustpilot or the Better Business Bureau. The Polysleep RV mattress has less than 100 customer reviews on the company’s website, significantly less than other RV mattresses from competitors. The Douglas RV mattress, for example, has over 16,000 customer-verified reviews.
#5 Endy
Overview
- Price (RV Short Queen): $895 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 15-years (Conditional)
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: 3.6/5 (Average)
- Better Business Bureau Rating: Unaccredited
Key Features
3 layer design
10-inch height
Machine-washable cover
Endy comfort foam
Why the Endy RV Mattress Didn’t Make the Top 2
Endy is a bed-in-a-box mattress owned by Sleep Country, the largest chain of retail mattress stores in Canada. Endy has gained recognition due to its many paid partnerships with social media influencers and lifestyle bloggers. However, genuine reviews from actual customers tell a different story than the brands paid partnerships. Customers only rate Endy as “Average” on Trustpilot and the brand is unaccredited on the Better Business Bureau.
The Endy RV mattress has a three layer design giving the mattress a height of 10-inches. The first layer is Endy comfort foam. The second and final layer of the mattress are both polyurethane foam. The machine-washable cover is made of polyester and lycra. Similar to Polysleep, the Endy RV mattress is only available in one size.
Despite the top layer of the Endy RV mattress having significant ‘hug’, it is quite firm. Back and stomach sleepers might find this mattress more comfortable than side sleepers who rely on a little bit of extra sinkage to help with spinal alignment or prevent the buildup of pressure points around the shoulders, hips, and other joints.
#6 Haven LUX Rejuvenate
Overview
- Price (RV Short Queen): $1,500 CAD
- Sleep Trial: 100-nights
- Warranty: 10-years
- Made In: Canada
- Trustpilot Rating: No Reviews
- Better Business Bureau Rating: 3.5/5 (A+)
Key Features
4 layer design
10-inch height
Copper-infused latex
Bamboo-blend mattress cover
Why the Haven LUX Rejuvenate RV Mattress Didn’t Make the Top 2
Haven LUX Rejuvenate RV mattress is a latex mattress made by Canadian-based Haven Sleep Co. Haven Sleep Co. Since the company launched in 2016, Haven Sleep Co. has catalogue has expanded and has been featured on HGTV Canada shows like Love It or List It and Island of Bryan.
While some shoppers may be ready to pay Haven’s exorbitant prices, those on a tighter budget should look elsewhere. The entry-level 6″ RV mattress from Haven will cost Canadian shoppers $800 CAD. That number jumps to a staggering $1,500 CAD for a RV Short Queen Haven LUX Rejuvenate RV mattress. That’s a lot to pay for a mattress that will be put in a trailer and won’t be used all-year round.
The Haven LUX Rejuvenate RV mattress is made with copper-infused latex foam, open-cell gel memory foam, open-cell foam, and polyurethane support. While the layer of latex foam makes the Haven LUX Rejuvenate a niche mattress style, Haven’s Classic Firm model is quite firm, and as a result, may not provide the gentle pressure relief that many sleepers look for.
In an attempt to appeal to these shoppers, Haven released a second firmness option, the Classic + Advanced Pressure Relief, which has a soft middle section for side sleepers. However, sleepers who weight more than 150 lbs may find that they sink too deeply on the softer option.
Finally, there’s the lack of customer reviews. Despite appearing on national television program, Haven has less than 2,000 customer reviews across all of its RV mattresses. In contrast, the Douglas RV mattress (our top pick) has over 16,000 customer-verified reviews.
Final Thoughts
Finding the right mattress is essential to getting a good night’s sleep. The right RV mattress will provide the perfect balance of pressure relief, motion, edge support, temperature regulation, and durability.
The Top 2 Best Canadian RV Mattresses on our list have been chosen for their ability to meet these criteria and provide the ultimate sleeping experience.
