Endy is a brand that has been around for several years while Juno is the new kid on the bed-in-a-box block. One thing that’s clear is that both brands are looking to sell more mattresses to Canadians. Here’s a quick overview of both companies.
Endy
Endy is a bed-in-a-box mattress brand owned by Sleep Country, Canada’s largest chain of mattress retail stores. The company has been selling its “one-size-fits-all” foam mattress since 2015, competing with other online brands like Casper and Douglas. Endy mattresses are made in Ontario and Quebec and shipped out from distribution centres in Ontario and British Columbia. In 2022, the company expanded its mattress lineup with the Endy Hybrid, a more firm version of their foam mattress mixing foam and coils.
Juno
The Juno mattress was launched in August of 2019 by the Canadian mattress-in-a-box company GoodMorning.com. Designed, sold, and manufactured exclusively in Canada, Juno is the logical next step in the progression of GoodMorning.com’s mission to make high-quality sleep more affordable throughout Canada. This value mattress comes with all the features GoodMorning.com is famous for, such as the 120-night trial, 15-year warranty, and outstanding Canadian customer care – and does so at a very affordable price.

Thanks to modern compression methods and the rising popularity of the bed-in-a-box, mattresses can now be shipped far more efficiently and conveniently than ever before. Customers no longer need to take a day off work to accept a delivery. Boxed beds are now delivered with the same convenience as most Amazon orders. Some bed-in-a-box companies even offer same-day delivery to certain areas.
Delivery
Endy uses UPS to deliver while Juno uses FedEx. Both mattresses are delivered directly to customers’ doors throughout most parts of Canada. In addition, both companies offer free shipping to the majority of Canadian postal codes with remote shipping fees applying to a minority of addresses.
Both Endy and Juno have a delivery estimate of 3 to 10 business days, excluding public holidays.
Trial Period
Like many bed-in-a-box companies, Endy and Juno both heavily promote their in-home sleep trials. Juno has the longest sleep trial of the two mattress brands at 120 nights with the option of a full refund. Endy offers a shorter 100-night sleep trial.
Returns and Additional Fees
In case you discover your new mattress isn’t the right one for you, both Endy and Juno offer free returns. Simply contact the company and they will arrange for your mattress to be picked up and your payment reissued to your account.

Delivery Times & Opening the Box
The Endy and Juno mattresses arrived within the expected delivery times. Both mattresses arrived well-protected in their respective boxes where heavy-duty plastic layers were used to prevent damage during shipping.
Both mattress boxes came sealed with heavy-duty tape. Customers will need scissors or a knife to open the box. To prevent injuries and to avoid damaging the mattress inside, please remember to be very careful when using sharp objects to open the box.
Setting up the Mattress
Once opened, each compressed mattress is easy to remove from the box. We recommend a ‘tip-and-pull’ motion to slowly slide the mattress out from its cardboard container. Simply tip the box from a vertical position down to its side, and then pull the lightweight box away from the bundled mattress. It’s most efficient to do this process in the room where you intend to use the mattress.
Both mattresses are protected with multiple layers of heavy-duty plastic to compress it in a vacuum seal and keep it tightly rolled up for shipping.
Customers will need to unwrap the outer layer in order to unroll the mattress, which will still be in its compressed form. Some helpful advice at this stage is to place the rolled up mattress onto the designated bed frame. Next, like the end of a roll of tape, find and peel back the outer layer of plastic. You can use the momentum of unrolling the compressed mattress along the bed frame to help remove the rest of this layer, which could be up to a few meters long. After completing this process, the mattress will be lying unrolled before you.
Expansion Time
Next, cut the final layer of plastic. The vacuum seal now broken, the mattress will quickly begin to decompress. Remove this final layer of plastic as the mattresses expands to its full height. For both Endy and Juno, full expansion took around 2 minutes.

Endy and Juno are both combination foam mattresses. With both mattresses, multiple layers are used to provide comfort and support.
Even so, some of the biggest differences between the Endy and Juno revolve around the type of foam used at each layer. In addition, while Juno’s cover is made from polyester and viscose, Endy’s is made from Polyester and Lycra. Both mattresses have comfort and support layers while Endy also has a transition layer.
In addition, both mattresses sport a distinct cover design. With mattresses, top covers are sometimes removable. In this case, Endy has a removable, machine-washable cover, while Juno is spot-clean only.
Endy vs Juno Mattress Layers
Endy
Juno
Endy Mattress Layers
The Endy mattress contains three layers of foam. Like many of the combination foam mattresses on the market today, all layers in the Endy mattress work together to provide an overall level of comfort and support.
- First layer: 2 inches of Endy Comfort Foam. This layer of polyurethane is intended to provide optimal comfort and temperature performance. It has an open-cell structure, which is standard for mattresses and sleep products. Foam density: Unspecified.
- Second layer: 3 inches of quick-response polyurethane foam. This transition layer works with the comfort layer to provide an additional level of support while helping conform to your body’s shape. Foam density: 1.8lbs/ft3.
- Third layer: 5 inches of polyurethane support foam. This final tier gives the mattress its structure and prevents sleepers from sinking in too far. Foam density: 1.8lbs/ft3.
Of note: At the time of last review (October 2018), the foam density information for the top comfort layer was not available on Endy’s website. When Mattress-Reviews.com previously contacted Endy customer support, we were advised that the transition foam and support foam layers were both 1.8lbs/ft3; however, they would not provide density information for the Endy Comfort Foam layer. Their representative told us “the foam is a uniquely designed foam which is proprietary, which means we don’t give out the exact specifications.” It is also worth noting that Endy decided to remove the cooling gel from its top proprietary layer in 2018.
Remember, higher-density foams, like those used in Octave and Tempur-Pedic, will generally have a longer life expectancy than their lower-density counterparts.
Juno Mattress Layers
The Juno mattress contains two layers of foam. Like many combination foam mattresses available on the market today, these two layers work together to provide comfort and support.
- First layer: 2 inches of Full-Body Cooling Gel Foam. This top layer offers contoured comfort, as well as overall cooling and breathability. Foam density: 2.5 lbs/ft³.
- Second layer: 6 inches of Total Support Foam. This bottom layer allows Juno to provide support and firmness to sleepers. This layer improves overall edge support while reducing motion transfer. Foam density: 1.8 lbs/ft³.
Endy vs Juno Mattress Cover
Endy
Juno
Endy Mattress Cover
The Endy mattress has a two-tone cover. The bottom part features of grey fabric and they Endy company logo, while the top a made primarily of polyester and contains a small amount of Lycra for stretch. Unlike other mattresses on the market, including Douglas and Bloom, Endy does not list any eco-friendly fabrics in their outer layer construction. The top cover of the Endy mattress can be removed cleaned in the washing machine as necessary.
Juno Mattress Cover
Juno’s cover design is an homage to the iconic striped wool socks Canadians have worn for generations. The grey, white, and red pattern is made up of a soft blend of polyester and viscose. The Juno logo is stitched across the red stripe running across the mattress. Finally, there’s a zipper underneath the mattress that makes it possible for you to remove the cover if necessary for easier care and maintenance.
Endy vs Juno: Environmental Sustainability
GoodMorning.com Inc. carried out a survey in February 2017, discovering that almost 50% of Canadians are willing to spend more money for more environmentally friendly products. While Endy is surpassing 10,000 customer reviews after 5 years, Juno offers a longer home sleep trial and default warranty, plus free bedding and pillow(s) with your purchase.
For its unbeatable value at its price point, Juno is Mattress-Reviews.com’s TOP PICK for MATTRESS UNDER $500 CAD.
