Thanks to modern compression methods and the rising popularity of the bed-in-a-box, mattresses can now be shipped far more efficiently and conveniently than ever before. Customers no longer need to take a day off work to accept a delivery. Boxed beds are now delivered with the same convenience as most Amazon orders. Some bed-in-a-box companies even offer same-day delivery to certain areas.

Saatva delivers via white glove delivery, bringing a fully expanded mattress to the customer’s home and setting it up. Locally-contracted logistics companies are contracted to fulfill the white-glove delivery service. 

Logan & Cove uses FED/EX to deliver the compressed and boxed Logan & Cove mattress. Both mattresses will be delivered directly to customers doors throughout most parts of Canada. Because the Logan & Cove mattress is in a box, the mattresses can even be left on a porch or deck whilst the customer is at work.

Shipping time for Saatva and Logan & Cove is varied. The Saatva mattress will be delivered within 18 business days, whereas the Logan & Cove mattress will be delivered within 10 business days.

As with any bed-in-a-box brand, Saatva and Logan & Cove heavily promote their in-home sleep trials. Logan & Cove and Saatva have a great sleep trial at 365-nights.

If a customer wishes to return their Saatva mattress or Logan & Cove mattress within the sleep trial, both mattress companies will arrange to pick the mattresses up and issue a full refund. There are no additional return or restocking fees for the Logan & Cove mattress, however, Saatva will charge a $99 USD non-refundable shipping fee.

The Saatva mattress and Logan & Cove mattress were both delivered to us within the expected delivery time.

The Saatva mattress is not delivered to you in a box. A white-glove delivery service is included in the price of the Saatva mattress, this means that the Saatva mattress is shipped from Saatva’s manufacturing facility to a locally-contracted delivery company, and they will deliver it directly to the bedroom, place it on the desired bed, and remove all of the mattress packaging.

The Logan & Cove mattress is delivered compressed in a box, and the box arrived in a good condition. The Logan & Cove mattress is well protected by heavy-duty plastic layers within the box to protect the mattress during shipping.

The Logan & Cove mattress box is sealed with heavy duty tape. Customers will definitely need scissors or a knife to open the box. Remember to be extra careful when opening the box with sharp objects.

Once opened, the compressed Logan & Cove mattress is easy to remove from the box. A simple ‘tip-and-pull’ motion is what we recommend. Simply tip the box from a vertical position into a horizontal position and pull the mattress out of the box. We recommend doing this process in the designated bedroom.

The Logan & Cove mattress is protected with multiple layers of heavy-duty plastic and customers will need to unwrap the first layer of plastic in order to change the mattress from a cylindrical shape into a flat, albeit compressed, shape.

Some helpful advice at this stage is to place the rolled mattress on to the designated bed frame, find the end of the outer layer plastic, pull it loose, and use the momentum of pulling it with the rolled mattress shape to remove the outer layer. After completing this process, customers will see an unrolled mattress.

Next, cut the final layer of plastic and the new Logan & Cove mattress will start decompressing. Remove this final layer of plastic and the mattress should expand to its full height within a few seconds. The Logan & Cove mattress expanded to its full height within 1 minute.

The Saatva mattress and Logan & Cove mattress are both hybrid mattresses. The Saatva mattress is available in 3 firmness options: plush soft, luxury firm, and firm. The Logan & Cove is available in medium-firm. 

One of the major differences between the Saatva mattress and Logan & Cove mattress is the different types of foams used for comfort, contouring, and pressure point relief, and springs used for support. Each mattress contains comfort, transition, and support layers, and these layers vary slightly in height and density.

Also, both mattresses have a unique top cover which showcases each brand’s mattress design. Top covers are sometimes washable, but neither the Saatva mattress or Logan & Cove mattress has a machine-washable top cover.

The Saatva mattress contains 4 layers:

• First layer: 3 inches of bio-foam and this is used to provide comfort, contouring, and pressure point relief.

• Second layer: 5/8 of an inch of soft foam and a 3/8 of an inch of  visco lumbar padding. This is used to provide support underneath the bio-foam.

• Third layer: 4-inchindividually wrapped coil system. The individually pocketed coils serve to contour with body movements and relieve pressure points.

• Fourth layer: 7-inch hourglass-shaped coils. This base support system is composed of recycled tempered steel and provide a sturdiness to the upper layers of the mattress.

• First layer: 0.5 inch of quilted top cover. The top cover is made with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibers, which provide a cool and supple feel. It also includes breathable hollow fibre fill and quilted gel-infused foam for added plushness.

• Second layer: 1 inch of cooling gel memory foam. This responsive material helps with cushioning and heat regulation around the sleeping surface. Foam density: 2.5 lbs/ft³.

• Third layer: 1.5 inches of Elastex® foam. This thicker foam layer serves as transitional support between the pocketed coils below and the cushioning layers above. It effortlessly contours to your body, providing exceptional comfort in any sleeping position. Foam density: 1.8 lbs/ft³.

• Fourth layer: 9-inch individually wrapped pocketed coils. The pocketed coils are made from multi-tempered steel and arranged in 5 zones to provide robust support and motion isolation across the entire sleep surface.
