Leesa and Logan & Cove are two of the most well-known mattress brands in Canada and both brands have built up a loyal Canadian customer base. So, what is the background behind Leesa and Logan & Cove?
Leesa was founded in 2014 in the United States. The Leesa mattress is available to American and Canadian customers. The Leesa mattress is one of the most well-known ‘bed-in-a-box’ mattresses in the USA and has made a name for themselves through their philanthropic efforts and social impact, as well as by partnering with leading swimmer, Michael Phelps, leading gymnast, Aly Raisman, and the Washington Redskins NFL team.
Logan & Cove was launched in early 2018. Since then, it has grown to become one of the best-selling boxed hybrid mattress brands in Canada, even outpacing some brands that had helped define the segment. Its combination of premium materials with luxurious design details is still seen as an attractive alternative to similar retail store models, which sell for up to a few thousand dollars more.

The Leesa mattress and Logan & Cove mattress were both delivered to us within the expected delivery time. Both mattresses were well protected by heavy-duty plastic layers within the boxes to protect the mattresses during shipping.
The Leesa mattress and Logan & Cove mattress boxes were both sealed with heavy duty tape. Customers will definitely need scissors or a knife to open the box. Remember to be extra careful when opening the box with sharp objects.
Once opened, the compressed mattress is easy to remove from the box. A simple ‘tip-and-pull’ motion is what we recommend. Simply tip the box from a vertical position into a horizontal position and pull the mattress out of the box. We recommend doing this process in the designated bedroom.
The Leesa mattress and Logan & Cove mattress are both protected with multiple layers of heavy-duty plastic and customers will need to unwrap the first layer of plastic in order to change the mattress from a cylindrical shape into a flat, albeit compressed, shape.
Some helpful advice at this stage is to place the rolled mattress on to the designated bed frame, find the end of the outer layer plastic, pull it loose, and use the resulting momentum to roll the mattress into position on the frame. Once in position, remove that outer plastic layer. After completing this process, customers will see an unrolled mattress. Simply unroll the mattress, making sure the top cover is facing up, and place the corners in the correct position on the frame or foundation.
Next, cut the final layer of plastic and the new Leesa mattress or Logan & Cove mattress will start decompressing. Remove this final layer of plastic and the mattress should expand to its full height within a few minutes. The Leesa mattress took 48 hours to fully expand. The Logan & Cove mattress took 1 minute to fully expand.
