Endy and Juno are two well-established Canadian mattress brands. Here’s a quick overview of both companies.
Endy
Endy is a bed-in-a-box mattress brand owned by Sleep Country, Canada’s largest chain of mattress retail stores. The company has been selling its “one-size-fits-all” foam mattress since 2015, competing with other online brands like Casper and Douglas. Endy mattresses are made in Ontario and Quebec and shipped out from distribution centres in Ontario and British Columbia. In 2022, the company expanded its mattress lineup with the Endy Hybrid, a more firm version of their foam mattress mixing foam and coils.
Juno
The Juno mattress was launched in August of 2019 by the Canadian mattress-in-a-box company GoodMorning.com. Designed, sold, and manufactured exclusively in Canada, Juno is the logical next step in the progression of GoodMorning.com’s mission to make high-quality sleep more affordable throughout Canada. This value mattress comes with all the features GoodMorning.com is famous for, such as the 120-night trial, 15-year warranty, and outstanding Canadian customer care – and does so at a very affordable price.

Thanks to modern compression methods and the rising popularity of the bed-in-a-box, mattresses can now be shipped far more efficiently and conveniently than ever before. Customers no longer need to take a day off work to accept a delivery. Boxed beds are now delivered with the same convenience as most Amazon orders. Some bed-in-a-box companies even offer same-day delivery to certain areas.
Delivery
Endy uses UPS to deliver while Juno uses FedEx. Both mattresses are delivered directly to customers’ doors throughout most parts of Canada. In addition, both companies offer free shipping to the majority of Canadian postal codes with remote shipping fees applying to a minority of addresses.
Both Endy and Juno have a delivery estimate of 3 to 10 business days, excluding public holidays.
Trial Period
Like many bed-in-a-box companies, Endy and Juno both heavily promote their in-home sleep trials. Juno has the longest sleep trial of the two mattress brands at 120 nights with the option of a full refund. Endy offers a shorter 100-night sleep trial.
Returns and Additional Fees
In case you discover your new mattress isn’t the right one for you, both Endy and Juno offer free returns. Simply contact the company and they will arrange for your mattress to be picked up and your payment reissued to your account.

Delivery Times & Opening the Box
The Endy Hybrid and Juno mattresses arrived within the expected delivery times. Both mattresses arrived well-protected in their respective boxes where heavy-duty plastic layers were used to prevent damage during shipping.
Setting up the Mattress
Once opened, each compressed mattress is easy to remove from the box. We recommend a ‘tip-and-pull’ motion to slowly slide the mattress out from its cardboard container. Simply tip the box from a vertical position down to its side, and then pull the lightweight box away from the bundled mattress. It’s most efficient to do this process in the room where you intend to use the mattress.
Both mattresses are protected with multiple layers of heavy-duty plastic to compress them in a vacuum seal and keep them tightly rolled up for shipping.
Customers will need to unwrap the outer layer in order to unroll the mattress, which will still be in its compressed form. Some helpful advice at this stage is to place the rolled-up mattress onto the designated bed frame. Next, like the end of a roll of tape, find and peel back the outer layer of plastic. You can use the momentum of unrolling the compressed mattress along the bed frame to help remove the rest of this layer, which could be up to a few meters long. After completing this process, the mattress will be lying unrolled before you.
Expansion Time
Next, cut the final layer of plastic. The vacuum seal now broken, the mattress will quickly begin to decompress. Remove this final layer of plastic as the mattress expands to its full height. For both Endy Hybrid and Juno, full expansion took around 2 minutes.

Endy Hybrid is a hybrid mattress made up from a combination of foam layers and steel coils. Juno mattresses are made exclusively with foam layers. With both mattresses, multiple layers are used to provide comfort and support.
Some of the biggest differences between the Endy and Juno revolve around the materials used for each layer. In addition, while Juno’s cover is made from polyester and viscose, Endy’s is made from polyester and spandex. Both mattresses have comfort and support layers while Endy also has a transition layer.
In addition, both mattresses sport a distinct cover design. With mattresses, top covers are sometimes removable. In this case, both mattresses have covers that are spot-clean only.
Endy Hybrid vs Juno Mattress Layers
Endy Hybrid

Endy Hybrid Mattress Layers
The Endy Hybrid mattress is made up of four separate layers, combining different types of foam and metal coils to create the mattress' unique feel and firmness.- First layer: Endy Comfort Foam. This layer of polyurethane is intended to provide comfort and temperature control. It has an open-cell structure, which is an increasingly standard feature among modern mattresses. However, unlike some of its competitors, Endy does not have cooling gel, vertical air channels, or conduit materials in its top layer for added temperature regulation. Foam density: Unspecified.
- Second layer: Polyurethane foam. This transition layer works with the comfort layer above to provide an additional level of support while helping the mattress to conform to your body’s shape. Foam density: Unspecified.
- Third layer: 6 inches of zoned steel coils. A layer of pocketed steel coils makes up the main support layer of the Endy Hybrid mattress, which also helps with motion isolation. The centre-third of the mattress features thicker coils than the other two ends of the bed, which assists with lower-back support and alignment. Of note: The 6" pocketed coils used in the Endy Hybrid are two inches shorter than what is common in most other bed-in-a-box hybrid mattresses.
- Fourth layer: Polyurethane foam. This final layer of foam rests beneath the coil layer to add nearly two inches of height to the mattress. Foam layers of this size are not commonly used below the spring unit as they can create instability to the mattress. Foam density: Unspecified.
Juno Mattress Layers
The Juno mattress contains two layers of foam. Like many combination foam mattresses available on the market today, these two layers work together to provide comfort and support.
- First layer: 2 inches of Full-Body Cooling Gel Foam. This top layer offers contoured comfort, as well as overall cooling and breathability. Foam density: 2.5 lbs/ft³.
- Second layer: 6 inches of Total Support Foam. This bottom layer allows Juno to provide support and firmness to sleepers. This layer improves overall edge support while reducing motion transfer. Foam density: 1.8 lbs/ft³.
Endy Hybrid vs Juno Mattress Cover
Endy Hybrid
Juno
Endy Hybrid Mattress Cover
The Endy Hybrid has a cover design that emphasizes the softness of the mattress. The entire sleep surface is covered with white quilted fabric made mostly from polyester and padded with foam and polyfill for a plush feel. Unlike some of its direct competitors in the hybrid market, the Endy does not incorporate cooling or moisture-wicking materials into its cover lining; however, these exclusions help to keep the total cost in check.
The grey sidewalls of the Endy Hybrid are also made exclusively from polyester and feature sewn-in adjustment handles. Customers should note when transporting the mattress that these handles are intended for adjusting the position of the mattress; any tearing or damage to the handles is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
Juno Mattress Cover
Juno’s cover design is an homage to the iconic striped wool socks Canadians have worn for generations. The grey, white, and red pattern is made up of a soft blend of polyester and viscose. The Juno logo is stitched across the red stripe running across the mattress. Finally, there’s a zipper underneath the mattress that makes it possible for you to remove the cover if necessary for easier care and maintenance.

Should you buy an Endy or a Juno?
Juno and Endy are two of Canada’s leading online mattress brands. Even though they sell at different price points and use vastly different materials, both brands are worthy of consideration for Canadian mattress shoppers looking to replace their current bed.
Although Endy targets mid-market shoppers while Juno caters to value buyers, these mattresses have a surprising amount in common. Both are made in Canada and CertiPUR-US® certified. Juno is sold at less than half the price with very comparable ratings as Endy for firmness, edge support, and motion isolation. While Juno has sold over 50,000 mattresses in Canada, the Endy Hybrid is just starting out; time will tell if it will gain the same traction as Juno or disappear quietly like the other two most recent Endy spinoff models.
For its unbeatable value at its price point, Juno is Mattress-Reviews.com’s TOP PICK for MATTRESS UNDER $500 CAD.
